"This gym is the best thing to ever happen to me! Okay, maybe my husband and kids rank higher, but this is close up there. With young kids, it's hard to find time to work out. We have a treadmill at home, but my routine was always interrupted by a baby crying, a toddler wandering off to "explore" (never a good thing), or other neediness that can't be told to wait "a few more minutes". Before I had kids, I belonged to one of the larger, name brand gyms, and I just didn't like it. It felt cold and sterile, and I always felt intimidated by the machines, not to mention feeling like I was in the way of big, muscular men who wanted to use them.
On the recommendation of a neighbor, I checked out this gym and have been extremely happy. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, who works here is very friendly. The receptionist knows your name, the personal trainers are so incredibly helpful and encouraging, and the ladies working in the Kids Club are fantastic. My kids are excited to come to the gym and are always actively engaged and having fun while I get to work out.
The gym isn't huge, but that adds to the charm of the place. It definitely feels more like a community, not a huge warehouse of people working out. Despite it's smaller size, though, I have never had a problem getting on the machine I wanted or getting my weight lifting in.
It's also the little things that make this place so nice: cold lemon water available at all times; fresh towels in the locker room; shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers; hair dryers and q-tips for afterwards; and fresh cut flowers everywhere. This is by far the best gym I have ever gone to and I will probably never join another gym as long as I live in this area. Working out is difficult for me. I have a hard time getting motivated to go to the gym. Usually, I don't even last 3 weeks at a co-ed gym before I stop going.
The Women's Club is different. I'm overweight and have been for most of my life. The people who work there were very encouraging from the beginning. I had received a Groupon as a gift. On my first visit, Jennifer was great and showed me the layout of the gym, then they set me up with a Personal Trainer.
Now I have a problem with my ankle, I get calcium deposits in my joint which causes it to be swollen and painful all the time. Some days, I can't even walk. I've had this condition for 2 years. The personal trainer was very concerned and she worked with me to solve this problem which my own doctor hasn't been able to do. She suggested meals changes and going to another doctor and seeing the physical therapist at the gym. Within the first week, my ankle stopped looking like a balloon. The pain went away. It's been 4 weeks and my ankle hasn't swelled up and it feels strong enough now that I can run on it. This was not gout.
Then the personal trainer went through the exercises with me and on weight safety. I didn't much like the weight because my arms were sore everyday for 2 weeks. But Natalia was very encouraging and told me to stick with it.
Today, I overdid the weights and I was in pain in the locker room and I didn't think anyone noticed. After I got out of the sauna and shower, the staff asked me about it. It made me feel great that they were so concerned.
This gym is so friendly, they know everyone's name and they tried to help each other. The women at the gym who come to exercise are also super friendly and helpful. They constantly try to motivate me and encourage me.
I find myself looking forward to seeing everyone at the gym now. That's a tough one because none of my friends could ever get me to go hiking or exercise with them before and I just want to invite all my female friends to come with me now. Since I've been at this gym I've lost 4 lbs. Not a lot but when you're fat, every lb. counts.
They have nutrition classes and babysitting for women who have children and want to work out. That is really awesome. They also have a spa, so you can get body wraps and massages. You can also drop in to the classes whenever you want and if you're not a member, they charge you a small fee.
Overall, I can't find a single thing wrong with this gym. Just wonderful people here.

"First I would like to thank all the staff members of the Women's Club, I never believed in working out until I joined your club. I still remember the first day when I came to register. I had gestational diabetes through my pregnancy and I was already overweight. I weighed 180 lbs before I got pregnant, (the picture proves that). As a result, my doctors didn't want me to gain much more weight during my pregnancy.
So I started to work out 4 days a week plus I started to watch the food I was eating, beginning by learning to sweeten everthing naturally. The Women's Club gave me a chance to change my life because am looking better now than ever before (153 lbs!). In addition, I feel so comfortable when am there, it's like a second home; plus my kids are happy and safe in the Kid's Club. I really recommend this place for every woman or girl. "I haven't been a member for long but I am already crazy about this place! I'm a stay at home mom so I needed to join a gym that had childcare. Against my better judgement I joined Gold's gym because it's a bit cheaper. What a mistake! My 1yr old daughter couldn't stand it there. At least once a week my workout would be interrupted because my daughter was so upset. I'd come into the childcare center at Gold's and the ladies were visibly annoyed like, "Oh god! Here comes that lady with the screaming kid!" Since I've been at The Women's Club I have yet to see my daughter even frown. When I drop her off at the Kid's Club she wiggles around in happy anticipation! At the other gym I'd spend my entire workout worried that my daughter was freaking out without me. id Anxiously be looking over my shoulder in anticipation for one of the childcare people telling me to pick my kid up because she was screaming so loudly that she was upsetting the other kids. At The Women's Club I can zone out on a cardio machine, take a cycle class, I can do strength training, AND most importantly I CAN SHOWER with peace of mind! This place is definitely worth the extra loot. Oh and the place is spotless! Seriously, if you need to join a gym that provides childcare while you workout this is the place to be.

"I really love this gym, it's a women only fitness center and they even have lemon water outside the locker room. There is hardly ever anybody here and sometimes when I stay until close I am the only person there! I love not having to fight people for a treadmill or have some burly guy staring me down while I'm using the weight machine that he's waiting for. This place is so relaxing and carefree. If you suffer from "gymtimidation" this is the perfect place to start a workout routine! I only wish they had longer hours especially on the weekends, and that some of the extra classes weren't so pricey. Most of the classes are free but they offer some special classes sometimes that cost extra and the bootcamp is the same price for a member as it is for a non-member. - Audrey L. via Yelp
"This is my happy place! As a mother with a 2 month old baby, I was struggling with finding time to work out, not to mention shower. Finding this place was life changing. The daycare is EXCEPTIONAL and take wonderful care of the children of all ages. Unlike other gyms they will even change or feed the baby if needed! For the older kids they have activities, music hours, fitness outings.
The facilities top notch and staff is great. Excellent array of classes offered, in addition to plenty of quality gym equipment. As a former fitness competitor and current marathon runner I have seen a lot of gyms. This place is on the TOP of the list. "The Women's Club is, hands down, the best exercise facility I have ever been a member of. I revisited an aerobics class I took for many years a few weeks ago. By the end of the class, I realized that I had become stronger due to the Women's Club core strengthening classes. The instructors at the Women's Club know what members need to be doing to get stronger and are constantly challenging me to do things I never thought I would do. Push ups and planks are just two examples. The cost is reasonable and the high level of personal service and attention by the instructors to the job of making each woman stronger and healthier is clear to mel More than anything else, the personal feelings of acceptance and belonging that I feel is what keeps me going back.
